Just Latin Salsa at The Slug & Lettuce, Worcester EVERY TUESDAY
The Slug and Lettuce is the ‘home of Just Latin Salsa’. Located on The Cross, just a five minute walk from the river and the cathedral and around 500 metres from Foregate Street train station. The nearest car parking is off the City Walls Road. The building was formerly St Nicholas Church, where recent refurbishment has kept the stunning natural characteristics of this Grade II listed structure while creating a relaxed, comfortable bar atmosphere inside, ideal for club disco salsa.
Ideal for seasoned dancers as well as beginners, Tuesday night is our ‘class and club’ night. Social dancers are welcome to join us after the classes finish – around 9.30pm. There is no charge for social dancing after the class. Classes starting with a warm-up from 8.00pm on a Tuesday evening. Prices held for 10 years (!) at £6 for non-members and £5 for members (with a valid membership card). After class there is freestyle social dancing til 11pm.
Featuring cross-body SALSA for all levels: Teachers and demonstrators: Stuart & Jan; Angie & Jo; Nigel & Karen Taylor; Beginners teacher: Karen Edwards. Additional teachers: Simon & Jenny (Cuban salsa).
Fun line-ups with Nigel (Cha Cha Cha, Samba, Jive and some other really funky stuff)
Music on Tuesday is mid-tempo SALSA (danceable)..some call it salsa dura…Angie calls it ‘good’. Also Bachata, Kizomba and Reggaeton. Angie’s musical influences come from Miami, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Columbia, Costa Rica, panama…oh all over the place really!

This venue has a private entrance from a large free car park, bar and dance floor. The Suite is a self-contained unit capable of catering for 80 to 200 guests. Complete with dance floor,, bar, air conditioning and entrance off Windermere Drive.
Ideal for beginners with two classes for the price of one: At 8pm Beginner’s and Improver/Intermediate SALSA starting from 8.00pm. BACHATA for beginners and Improvers/Intermediates at 9.15pm.
Social dancing after classes til 10.30pm.

Hello,
My name is Dina and I am currently a student at the University of Worcester. I have been practicing latin dancing for almost 5 years and I have been teaching beginners classes. For the past year and a half I haven`t been practicing as I moved here in Worcester.I would like to come and do some classes in your club. Are there any intermediate classes at the Slug and lettuce?
